Although ZW32-12 vacuum circuit breakers have high reliability, various faults may still occur during long-term outdoor operation. Rapid diagnosis and handling are key to ensuring power supply reliability.
The circuit breaker failing to complete the closing operation is the most common fault. Causes include: not charged (check charging indicator and motor circuit); closing coil burned out (measure resistance, short-time duty cannot be continuously energized); closing half-shaft stuck (clean and lubricate); mechanical interlock not released (check disconnecting switch position); control voltage too low (not less than 85% of rated value).
Failure to open normally after closing is the most dangerous fault. Causes include: opening coil failure (measure resistance, replace); opening half-shaft stuck (clean and lubricate); opening spring fatigue (replace); mechanism jamming (check transmission links and shaft sleeves); auxiliary switch poor contact (clean or replace).
Charging motor not running: check motor power supply circuit, fuses and wiring; measure motor winding to determine if burned out; check if limit switch is normal. Incomplete charging: measure power supply voltage; check transmission gear wear and lubrication; replace if closing spring is deformed or broken.
Power frequency withstand voltage method: apply 42kV/1min to the gap; if breakdown occurs, it indicates severe vacuum degradation. Use a vacuum degree tester for quantitative detection. Interrupters with degraded vacuum must be replaced as a whole, not repaired.
Terminals loose - tighten regularly; limit switch contacts worn - adjust or replace; auxiliary switch out of sync - adjust linkage; coil insulation degraded (below 1MΩ) - replace.
Interlock plate deformed - correct; interlock rod rusted - clean and apply anti-rust grease; isolating switch contact heating - check contact spring pressure and contact surface.
